Not only the quality of programming, but the quantity of shows and movies you can watch is crazy and definitely worth the small monthly price of $7.99. I thought I was being duped when I signed up for for a few measly dollars a month.
After seeing the guide and the content they offered, I was waiting for additional cost and fees to show up at the end of the month, but there was no surprises. They don’t have the best movies, but they have tons of very popular television shows.
If you want to watch movies on your Rokubox, I’d suggest you get Netflix. If you’re a television series type of person then Hulu Plus on Roku is your best bet. Do like I do and just get both. There is more content then you know what to do with for less than twenty bucks a month. That’s a no brainer.
So, don’t fall for the great Netflix vs. Hulu Plus debate, just get both. The major differences between the two is that Hulu Plus has the latest television episodes in just a day or two after airing. Netflix has popular movies, but there television shows aren’t that fresh.
Don’t get me wrong, Netflix has some really great shows like Breaking Bad, but they don’t have the latest episodes. That’s why I advise you to subscribe to both. Then you can have the best of both worlds and not miss a thing.
Some people complain that the picture isn’t great and that is true if you don’t have a true high speed internet connection. I’ve never had this problem, but I have really fast broadband. Hulu Plus on Roku is definitely a good investment. For what you get for a small price is a really great deal.
This video will help you decide which one is best (Netflix vs Hulu Plus) but, like I said, just get both. They both cost around the same and for the price of a large pizza, you can get them both for a month. That’s a lot of content.
